The heart and soul of HTN Communications, Anne Marie Crowley began her career as a Cost Accountant at Hughes Television Network in 1984, while it was owned and operated by MSG. She was immediately promoted to Chief Accountant when the division was purchased by Joseph M. Cohen in 1986.
The company was later sold to IDB Communications in 1989 and Crowley was elevated to Director of Finance, before departing due to Hughes relocation to California. In 1992, Crowley was hired as Vice President and General Manager of Sports Minded, a conglomerate of four businesses; publishing, foul-weather gear, ad sales and celebrity golf, where she implemented their accounting systems and ran the financials for all businesses.
When TCG Communications inquired about her services to oversee their budget and serve as Controller of the New York Region, the largest Local Telecom region of TCG in 1997, Crowley obliged and stayed on to help build the business portfolio, which garnered the attention of AT&T who purchased the company in 1998.
Having played a key role of increasing the overall value of TCG, Crowley was depended upon greatly as an influential figure during the company’s transitional period and stayed committed to AT&T until joining HTN Communications in 2003. During the fall of 2002, the seeds were planted for a return to HTN, when Joseph M. Cohen and Lonnie Guida recruited Crowley to assist in the startup of the “new” HTN, which was now a stand-alone business.
Without any hesitation, the trio was reunited and she made an immediate impact on the growth and development of the company, serving as the Vice President of Finance. Notoriously known as the first to arrive and the last to leave, Crowley would soon oversee all aspects of the entire company when she was promoted to Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration.
She is directly responsible for implementing all job cost and accounting systems to manage the business and has been closely involved in the decision-making process to implement and deploy equipment to every professional venue in the United States. She was instrumental in the construction of the new multi-million dollar TOC at HTN headquarters, overseeing the project from start to finish. Crowley is now responsible for the Operational, Financial and Administrative aspects of the business on a daily basis.
Crowley received a BS in Accounting at Mount St. Mary’s University, where she played varsity tennis for four years on a partial scholarship, winning the Maryland State Championship in her freshman year and was named team MVP during her senior season. A competitive club tennis player, Crowley has been crowned champion in singles, doubles and mixed doubles over the past years. She splits her residence between Brooklyn and East Hampton, New York.
